Problems with recent media

When I first bought my Sony DRU500A I also bought a 50 pack of Ritek 1x upgradable to 2x with the 1.0f firmware which I have. Not 1 bad burn in all 50. So recently I order another 50 this time from CD-R DVD-R Media Super Store. These came in two 25 pack bundles. The problem I have been having with these is skipping and unreadable on data closer to the outer edge. I do not get errors when burning only when reading after the burn. I even tried burning at 1x. I did verify the DVD.

This is the exact code I had with my original batch. Must be bad media. Is anyone else having this problem?
Is true 2x or 4x Ritek better with the DRU500A or how about Princo? The Sony DVD+RW is working fine. I’m willing to pay more for DVD-R media with no errors on the outer edge.

I had the same problem with a batch of 15 Verbatim DVD+r media I had bought at bestBuy. What I did was only use these discs for burns of less than 4GB and they worked fine for that.

If its always and only at the end of the disk then likely you might want to see if they will replace the disk. If its kinda random where it will pause/freeze at maybe your laser is out of alignment.
