  1. Hello friends,

I am not a techie and very new to this board.

My requirement is to cut and join VCDs. I used TMPGenc, but when I use the cut and join option, it takes almost 10 to 15 minutes to cut a 24 MB clip. But I find it very fast in VCD cutter, almost one minute. But now I don't have full version of vcd cutter and so i have to use TMPGenc.

Can some one clarify whether such long time taking to cut is normal and something I am doing wrong with it.

    regards

    Raman

Virtualdub will cut it but not as a mpg it would create a avi file.
It shouldnt take that long to cut a 24mb mpg. it usually takes that long to cut out a 600mb file. Unless your on an ancient computer.

  4. Friends,

Thanks for your replies. My computer is a celeron processor based. But VCD cutter makes it very fast, I mean cuts in no time, where as why this TMPGenc takes so much time.

OK, i will also try virtual dub.

    Regards
