  1. I'm wanting to make a cdr of the soundtrack of a dvd. Is this possible? and if so how?

    oh, you probably want to know HOW :P

    quick answer - check the conversion guides, look for one where you have to extract the audio as a .wav file - use whatever tool / method to get the audio for your dvd out as a .wav.

    once you have the .wav, use any .wav editor to cut up the soundtrack as you like, saving files as individual .wavs, and burn with your preferred cd-creation tool.

    Personally, I'd use Wavelab for editing and Nero for burning.

    I'll see if I can find the right tool for you... I know there's one out there, I just can't put my finger on it. Check back for another post.

    okay, I'm back...

    looks like you could do it by using Smartripper to rip, de-muxing the streams to give you a separate audio stream, which you can then use BeSweet to convert to .wav.

    then use your .wav editor & burner, yadda yadda yadda.

  4. Thanks, I've got Smartripper loaded and a dvd is place but the lack of instructions is not helping me! Any further help would be appreciated as I know very little about this.
