I've read through the forums and reviews and have found mixed opinions. I'm looking for either a capture card or external usb (i prefer usb over firewire but don't let it rule out any suggestions) device (preferable so i could hook up to my lap top for portabillity). It needs atleast RCA and S-video input for capture from vcr and tivo. Component for my dvd player and coaxial for my satalite receiver would be a plus. I only plan on editing out commercials then authoring to vcd/svcd as i don't currently have a dvd burner. I already have expirience with dvd ripping, mpeg encoding (mainly TPMGEnc), and vcd/svcd authoring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as there are so many capture cards that picking the right one is a daunting task.
