  1. Im a newbie (i dont mind admitting it) and i bought a Panasonic LFD-311 writer as it was on special offer from www.ebuyer.co.uk My problem is i think i made a mistake in the media i bought. I bought a 50 pack of bulkpaq (gen3v2) and although these write perfect no coasters they have major problems in my stand alone dvd player

I get the same problem as i have read on this forum countless times in that they start to jerk and then completely stop when reaching the end of a film, on my friends samsung dvd player they start jerking after about 10mins

Now what i want to know is that i know now that the bulqpaq are my problem but what do i buy? i have read around this forum and when i think i have found what sounds like a good media someone always posts that the same thing happens, skipping at the end of films! does any media not do this? i get the feeling that the ritek media are good but then they are made for traxdata, datasafe, datawrite, zero defex and people on this forum have had problems with all of those too. Am i resolved to having to buy all these brands to find out wich one is best and then even if i find one that works i might not get the same ones as they might be made by someone else next time?

its all a bit crap as blank cd's seem to all be made to roughly the same standard as i have had no problems with vcd's or svcd's regardless of cd brand.

If it is DVD-R try the Choice media from www.blankdiscshop.co.uk. It is only £1 per disc and works on all three of my DVD players, they are the Encore DV450, the Toshiba SD220E and the Panasonic RA82.

    Hope this helps
