I uave just recently downloaded 8 legged freaks dvdrip and when i play it on my pc it is MINT.... The problem is every time i copy it to cd-rom it goes "grainy and poor quality sound" .Ihave encoded it to mpeg 1 with no problem and it still looks great, after burning to either cdr/cdrw and then playing on a toshiba sd-125e (hacked) the picture is poor and lip sinc is slightly out.
I have done K-19dvdrip.divx-diamond also although this is excellent pic/sound when i play it in my standalone player.
I have used NTI CD-Maker 6 to create mpeg from avi and then burned at X4 speed.
Have i given enough info for someone to help me ..cheers.

I believe this is your problem. U should use a good mpeg encoder, like TMPGenc. Its free version will create mpeg1(VCD) . And seperate the audio out of the divx to a .wav file using v-dub. use tmpgenc to encode the avi and wav.
