  1. Hi,

I know there are plenty of such questions and I read the "How do I fix audio sync in a MPG" tutorial but before I start working on that problem I'd like to know if there is an easier way .. the strange thing in my case is that the original mpg file normal .. no synch problems. But when cutting out a part of it using TEMPenc the cut part is out of synch. It didn't happen to other cutted files before but to all files I have made lately

So, what could be the problem? Do I really have to do all this editing described in the tutorials or is there another way e.g. by changing settings and just cut out the bits again?

    Thanks,
    Gwion

I guess you mean when you play back the original mpeg it "looks" ok

Did you check the original AVI for junk frames ?
If you never made the original mpeg, then it does have problems, that need to be fixed before splitting can be done.

Capture to mpeg 1, dropped frames, not shown on playback.
Download mpeg 1, probably full of bad frames.
AVI converted to mpeg 1, not checkd first.
