  8. Ok, once you download it, what do you do with it?
I extracted the zip to a folder, but double clicking the exe file gives me an error.

  10. I downloaded it from the site that was provided & there are 5 files in the zip. A readme, that's doesn't tell you anything about installing it, an the following files: mlcom.ax, reg.bat, unreg.bat, & regsvr32.exe. So, what do we do with these?
I also have an avi that plays fine but when I used tmpgenc it came out with no sound. I brought up virtual dub to get info on it & it is 23.976 fps, decompressor is divx mpg-4 low motion, & the compressor is fraunhofer IIS mpg layer 3 codec. Is that what you were talking about the ac3?

Oh that EXE no just place all the files in a safe location then run the reg.bat to let your system know where the AC3 filter is.

Your AVI has not got AC3 its MP3 with DivX 3.11 alpha

  14. Ok, done.
So, since it's not that ac3 thing, & I do have that codec installed, divx 3.11, & it is playing fine on the computer, why am I getting no sound on the mpg that I converted with tmpgenc?

  15. I downloaded & installed that file & still no sound, so I tried a different movie, still nothing.
So, I then went & did the following as was in an earlier post:
    TMPGEnc
Options > Environmental setting > VFAPI plug-in > DirectShow multimedia file reader > right click, select higher priority (Do several times to get it at top) or just below any Mpeg 2 filter

This seemed to do the trick as I did a small test file & it had sound. So, I'm doing a complete file to see how that goes. Thanks guys.
