I have bought a chinese film in DVCD for 1$ and it's in this format, anybody knows how is it done? I think it's a DVD in MPEG2 with variable bitrate but I'm not sure. How can I do one of them?
    Thank you. George.

  3. Whoa that link in the previous reply messed me up, it sent me to the newbie section and before I new it i was getting mad cause everbody was asking dumb questions, anyway... I followed the link from the last post and I read that DVCD stands for double vcd, this rang a bell. It turns out that when trying to add a non vcd compliant video to a vcd with win on cd 3.8 it asks if you'd like to reencode and one option is double vcd and in brackets beside it warns that not all players support this type of video. Has anyone tried this, is it just basically an xvcd with a low enough bitrate so that you can fit an entire movie onto one cd? When I get a chance I'll try it myself and post my results or if anyone else tries is let me know how it works. I've got some cammed movies and the low bitrate shouldn't make them that much crappier than they already are.
