    TPMGENc puts it there, so does other programs
    Also how do you change channels in VirtualDub?

    i've never heard of tmpgenc putting a box on anything. what kind of box?

    Top right Corner of video, it's Box with 9 little boxs in it and a dot
    did it after i converted an AVI file
    also have downloaded some videos from the news groups some of them have it to, not all of them.

  5. Are you usign Elecard's MPEG2 playback codecs, that is where that comes from, it's not IN the file it's something they overlay on playback when using their free codecs.

    Also how do you change channels in VirtualDub
    You use your TV card program to change channels, then quit it, then load Vdub

    wow it was the program Elecard's MPEG2 i'm going to start using The ati program works better anyway, Thanks Cyrl.

    well one down one to go

    I tryed that it defaults back to Channel 4 everytime i start VirtualDub.

    Does the card have a setting to do that, they normaly come back on the channel you last visited..

    Hi Kingjohn

    When i use the Ati software it does go back to the last channel i was wacthing you can't start VirualDub while any of that software is running
    without an error, i do have a remote that came with the Ati video card
    but i havn't hooked it up yet i didn't think i would need it, i will have to give it a try

    I have found nothin about changing channels in virualDub you would think it would be in there.

    Yes but it sounds as if your card is defaulting to CH 4, the ATI software is retuning the card to the last setting you used, so the card is not staying at the channel at all, this will make it very difficult for you, unless you can put the other channels on CH 4 when you need them in vdub.

    I never use Vdub myself, don't see the point when your own capture program would probably be better, may people have problems using vdub your not alone
