I recently purchased the Samsung HT-DM150 Home Theater system and have a few questions.
My current television does not have composite/s-video/component inputs for a direct connection to the DVD player. When running the DVD player through my Samsung VCR I am experiencing Macrovision problems (alternating brightness). From what I understand, I can purchase either and RF Modulator or Video Stabilizer to correct this problem (I have no intention of recording/copying DVD media) - however, I do not want to spend $50CDN on a device which will be useless to me when I purchase a new television (probably another 6 months - 1 year).
Anyway, i've seen hacks for other players but wish to know if there is a hack for this system (HT-DM150 - yes, i've checked the list already) and if using it will violate the warranty or any other laws? If a hack is applied can it be undone? Can the system be reset?
Thanks.
