    I've been taking VCR tapes and converting to wmv and then loading to my website to download. Is there a better format I should use (most downloaders are dialup).

    Lots of peps use avi's for that...good quality, low loss compression.
    Plus they are easily converted to other formats.

    thanks for the quick reply. Most vids are about 20-30 minutes long which is about 13mb with wmv, aren't avi's alot bigger? Is the quality better?

    Your right...the file would be bigger. But thats what everyone uses on the P2P type forums ...Hour and a half movies are 500mb...so 30 minutes is about 150 or 160mb....bout ten times your size...but the quality is excelent.
