My guess is that they use TDK's manufacturing ID to sell cheap 1x media as 2x, since the DVD-Writer will think it's actually TDK 2x certified.
or is it something else?
I own a Pioneer A05 and I've burnt 4 Princo (general 1x - 2x) with the TDK manu ID, they worked fine in 2x for me.
so what's the deal?
