  1. I have some MJPEG AVI movies from my Digi cam (Fuji S602) which, unfortunately, were shot with the camera in portrait orientation.

Is there a way of rotating the AVI frames through 90 degrees so that the movie plays the right way up on screen?

P.S. I presume that I will end up with blank (black?) bars at the right and left edges - if so, I am happy with that.

V-Dub has a rotation filter. Be advised it may be jagged. you are essential cutting lines of video into little blocks and making all new lines out of the pieces. you will definately want to run some sort of smoothing filter after the rotation filter.

Do you happen to know where I can get the rotation filter from? I've done a quick search of http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft/ and not found it so far.

    TIA!

How embarrassing. I just found that V-Dub includes a bunch of built-in filters, including two rotation ones. Sorry to be so green!
