I have a new Sony external DVD +- recorder, a Cannon DV camera, and an ATI AIW Radeon 32 DDR. The Sonic MyDVD 4 came with my Sony drive, and I am very interested in the direct to DVD capture (eliminating cap to hard drive). What I am wondering is if anyone has evaluated BOTH of these softwares. MyDVD seems to work fine, but has really tiny thumbnails on the menu it creates. Neo looks good on their site, but they don't have a demo. I particularly like how it claims to use AC3 audio, creating a much smaller filesize. I don't want to "blow" $50 on this product if it doesn't fare as well as Sonic's.
Any opinions are valuable to me.
TIA,
