Hi, I am thinking as my xmas present about buying the Philips 895, but I have a couple of questions.
I currently take Home movie using DV and edit using Studio 8 on the PC. I then make a rendered tape using Firewire to my camcorder. I have thought about buying a DVD writer for the PC but would prefer to only have one device.
My questions are:
1. Can you connect the 895 using Firewire to the PC to burn my completed video projects instead of back to DV?
2. Secondly, if this is not possible am I correct in thinking that if I download my completed project back to the camcorder I can then hook that up to the 895 and burn onto DVD. If so are there any disadvantages?
Hope this makes sense and thanks for your response.
Peter
