  1. Is there a way to author & burn PAL CVD with DVD workshop ?
My WintTV PVR creates half-D1 MPEG2 file, and I would like to author/burn them directly without re-encoding them.
I created a SVCD project, but on the final step (Make Disc), I can't customize the resolution. It is forced to 480x576 (CVD resolution is 352x576).

  2. Hi !

If you got CVD compatible streams, you can put them into a
DVD-Project, NOT an SVCD-Project! Simply click on "do not
    convert compatible files".
    CVD is DVD compatible!!!

    Good Luck!

  3. thanks for your answer.
The problem is that I want to burn them to a CDR not a DVDR. If I create a DVD project, I will have a miniDVD (audio_ts & video_ts directory structure) instead of a CVD (mpeg2, svcd, ext, segment directory structure).

I really can't seem to be able to find this setting in DVD Workshop... Which version are you using and which menu it is under? It is certainly not under Preferences in 1.0

  5. Version 1.0 does not have this option, if you dont want to reencode when you go to make disc you have to select a higher bitrate than the encoded mpeg. If you select a lower bitrate it will reencode. Versions 1.2 and 1.3 have the do not reencode checkbox. As mentioned before though this will only work for cvd when authoring for DVD. Likewise for XVCD, you can author XVCD for DVD, but not for VCD.
