I know I've posted this before but I never get an answer so here goes again. I know when to use Direct Stream Copy and Full Processing Mode. What instances would one use Normal or Fast Recompress?

These modes would be useful if you need to change codecs but want save the time converting through a 32-bit RGB color space. For example, if I'm planning on joining a Huffyuv-encoded clip with a Picvideo-encoded clip, I might use one of these two modes to quickly recompress one of the clips.
The help file describes the settings in more detail so you can judge for yourself whether to use these. Look under "Using VirtualDub", in the "Video processing modes" topic.
