  1. Bilestyle,

Couldn't resort to a virtual PC solution. Too stubborn =)
Purchased qt6 pro and the required encoder but still having problems:

when trying to start up afro pic( using elementary streams ripped via osex)
I get an applescript error indicating an error -61- file not open with write permission. Have had a little success- one started the process until the following message was reached:

error (mplex) unable to open file "thefile.m2v"for reading

    Your thoughts?

    Tia

the -61 applescript error is becuase it tries to write the command to shell script embedded in the program before it even runs... so if you want to run afropic you need to copy it off the disc image (for now..) the other error i couldnt shed much light on with that amount of vague information.. and i hope you bought the mpeg2 DECODER for quicktime and not the encoder... not that i think they sell the encoder seperate... pretty sure only with dvd studio pro... anyways-- let me know more info and ill try to help
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  3. Bilestyle,

Below is the output after running afropic on the movie "Trinity is still my name":

    [G4:~] iwatson%

The question I ask: has the programs quit? I do have the following files as output: temp-1.mpeg and title01-angle1-audio.mp2.

As always, thanks for the assistance.
