  1. Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get keys from a live stream on Paramount+. I've managed to capture the license request, extract the PSSH, content ID, and JWT authorization token. I also wrote a script that generates a license challenge using a local CDM, sends it to the license server, and parses the response.

    The problem:

With an L3 CDM I get error "platform status restricted", so the live stream requires L1.

With public L1 dumps I get "device revoked permanently". I tried several, all dead.

I also tried extracting my own L1 from a rooted Samsung A31, but the private key isn't exposed in the file system and l1-dumper couldn't retrieve it.

I'm not asking for keys or protected content, just technical advice: is there a reliable method to obtain a working L1 CDM (maybe from another device) or an alternative approach for Paramount+ live streams?

  2. Use playready

  3. private key isn't in system files but it is in device flash storage chip (Emmc)

  4. Live from Paramount+ is L3, your configuration probably is wrong.

  5. I tried, but I wasn't successful.

I am having the same issue. The Paramount license server is rejecting DRM requests made with CDM extracted from Android emulator. L3 should work, L1 is not necessary.

Users in the WidevineProxy2 thread suggested using some software for VOD but that does not help us extract the livestream key.

PlayReady is not enabled for that particular livestream.

  7. How can anyone help if you dont post the stream url ? Or DM it ?

PS All livestreams on PMTP work with both PR (SL2K) and WV (L3, real device not emu)
