WidevineProxy2 - Hitting Irdeto VMP Block (noVerification)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been testing WidevineProxy2 with N_m3u8DL-RE recently, but I’ve hit a hard wall when trying to stream from a specific major service that relies on Irdeto.

Looking at the network logs, the license server is instantly rejecting the challenge with error 190120 (specifically flagged as noVerification). From my understanding, the platform is enforcing strict VMP (Verified Media Path) checks, and the generic/emulator L3 CDM I'm testing is being blocked at the server level because it lacks a valid, trusted hardware signature.

I know the definitive fix for this is to use KeyDive/Frida to extract a clean L3 CDM from a physical Android device. The problem is my hardware options are incredibly limited right now. My daily driver is a tablet I use constantly for travel (can't wipe/unlock the bootloader), and my only spare device is an ancient legacy tablet running Android 6.0, which predates strict VMP anyway.

I am aware that commercial tools exist to handle these things natively, but I’d really prefer to stick to a custom command-line workflow if possible.

Given my hardware limitations, I’m completely stuck trying to get a working configuration. If anyone has navigated this Irdeto VMP block recently, or if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction to source a valid, VMP-compliant setup via PM, I would deeply appreciate the assistance.

From my understanding just having a real android L3 CDM won't help againt VMP. For VMP you'd need a chrome CDM. You might try your luck with play ready tv CDM leaks if the service supports it.

I've tested, PlayReady is not supported. I've even tried an Android CDM with VMP (even though VMP is only meant for Chrome CDMs), to test whether their "alcatraz" server accidentally accepts it, but no luck. Logging into the Android app didn't work for me.
