They recently implemented an annoying Account Login requirement if you wanted to access the User Reviews for anything on the site. Does anyone have a known-to-be-working instant bypass hack for this ? Google AI suggested a few possibilities, such as "Private Window" / "Incognito" Mode, which ideas I've been cycling through, but so far none of these has been panning out. I'm wondering if a VPN in from somewhere like Mongolia could work ?

  2. Mozilla Firefox is launching their own built in VPN so that may be of use. I miss the IMDB Message Boards; I wasn't part of it but it had lots of information to look through. Moviechat has some reviews and such but it hasn't caught on as much as IMDB Message Boards did.

IMDB has a very inflated opinion of itself, as regards certain aspects or features, and user access to them. For the User Reviews, you are probably better off with Letterboxd, anyway. That content is nowhere near as subject to arbitrary strictures, censorship, or outright spiking. ("Spiked" is an old print media term, for when an editor or publisher simply kills your submission -- even if they commissioned it in the first place -- without good reason, or possibly even any explanation.)

The nitwits who run IMDB have just expanded their very unnecessary and irritating policy: you now must have an account and Login to it in order to read not only any User Reviews, but also the film summary. I could accept it if this enforcement applied only for writing and posting something there, for expressing an opinion via their stars ratings, but just to read these things ? Completely excessive, unacceptable !

I had lost track of BugMeNot some years ago, because it had been a long time since one of its listed Logins actually worked for me. With most of these coming in at a reported 3% to 13% success rate, that does not exactly bode well.
