    Hi,

I’m currently looking for software similar to multiAVCHD 4.1 and was hoping you could provide some advice or recommendations.

Unfortunately, the developer no longer updates multiAVCHD, but I still find it to be an excellent program. What I’m mainly looking for is software that allows me to add additional audio tracks while still preserving the full Blu-ray movie menu structure.

I would greatly appreciate your help or any recommendations you may have.

    Thank you very much.

  2. Hi

I was a user of MultiAVCHD for years but like you found that it's limitations ie no Dolby TrueHD support etc. I bought a program called Yuhan Blu Ray creator and I've never looked back. It comes in three flavours....DVD, Blu Ray and UHD Blu Ray. Each can be bought separately or 2 like just the two blu rays. Whilst not free it is very good for the money. It allows for ALL HD audio including ATMOS to be passed through without re-encoding. I used it for my SACD 5.1 to Blu Ray conversions and they work a treat. Customised menus etc. You can download a demo that create a 5 minute test ISO disc that you can open in VLC.

This is not a paid sponsorship just in case you were wondering....I genuinely bought and use this program.

It re-encodes every video, and there is no any control over the parameters. It uses ffmpeg, and I'd not be surprised if it does without a license, like many other Chinese companies.

  4. So it re-encodes every video. So what if it does..? As long as you don't go over the disc size you'll be ok. I don't notice any difference in quality.

As for it being Chinese. So it must be full of spyware then eh...? I have downloaded English/American "free and open source software" and it's been riddled with viruses and spyware. ALL software now can be used to gather information...Take Microsoft You now must have a Microsoft account and hand over a ton of your personal information just to use their products. And what do you think they do with that information? And what about other American companies like Two Faced Book. They own everything you post on their platform and then make money from it.

There is a lot of stone throwing by Countries whilst living in their glass houses and the Americans are the world's worst at it. Remember he who shouts the loudest usually has the most to hide.....

It is decent software and does the job. It is also better than some of the over priced crap that's also on the market. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

    Just my tuppence....

    Hi CityCentreFox,

What I’m looking for is software similar to MultiAVCHD that allows me to add an additional audio track while preserving the original Blu-ray menu structure.

I have tried Yuhan, but unfortunately it does not retain the original Blu-ray menu. Do you know of any software that can add extra audio tracks while keeping the original Blu-ray menus fully intact?

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations you may have.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

  7. Hi

Unfortunately I don't know of any software that does that although if I remember correctly you can add extra audio tracks in MultiAVCHD by double clicking on the source file and adding audio tracks that way.

I have just tried it by opening a BDMV folder and if you double click the source file it brings up the properties box. Click on the audio tab and click add. You should be able to add your extra audio track that way. I then clicked on the new audio track turning it blue and gave the audio track a name and clicked OK. I then created the blu ray and converted it to a ISO file. Playing the ISO in VLC it had retained the original menu and selecting the tile and playing it came up as an extra track and it played it. I tried it with an audio track from a difference source and it played fine.

The only drawback is that it won't show the extra audio track in the menu as the menu is set in stone but you should be able to choose the audio track on the remote.

Sorry if you have already tried this but that is all I can offer.

    Kind Regards

    CCF
