  1. Hi

    a cat

    please respect thanks

    I wonder:

    Code:
    QTGMC(preset="Super Fast", FPSDivisor=1, EdiThreads=3)
    does this do deinterlacing?!

    My understanding:

Yes. "FPSAdvisor=1" is not necessary because QTGMC defaults to double-framerate output.

  3. Yes, but poorly. You could have tested it for yourself in less time than it took you to ask the question here.

  4. I don't remember exactly wy I'm using

    Code:
    QTGMC(preset="Super Fast", FPSDivisor=1, EdiThreads=3)
    in place of

    Code:
    yadifmod2(order=1,mode=1)
to deinterlace. But it could be because, when using yadifmod2, the batch would occasionally fall in erorr when requesting planar processing on certain sources. So my question is: can I change something in the script so that yadifmod2 never requests planar processing? Or is there an alternative to yadifmod for deinterlacing?

Any reason why not just convert your footage to planar anyway? It does no harm, definitely better than using a mediocre (preset="Super Fast") deinterlacer.

Just chiming in to say the really easy way to deinterlace a video with QTGMC, tweak a few simple parameters and see a preview of those settings in real-time is using VapourBox. But I am a bit biased.
