downloading videos paid or free

hello im new to this website but i have a interest in downloading videos Paid or free. I have heard of software like yt-dl i think its called that and others but im lost could someone give me some good advice on how to do it right and what software to use. Thanks in advance.

Download the one for your OS, for windows "yt-dlp.exe"

Then add it to your path

Open a terminal and type "yt-dlp" and paste a youtube link

yt-dlp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGVWPn6CAow&pp=ygUOeXQtZGxwIGluc3RhbGw%3D

This method is for free videos, and will not work for paid videos.

Learn how to dl free videos first, then ask again about paid videos.
