Hi.
Have You ever compared Your captured movies with their oryginals being
replayed directly to TV screen.
I bought camcorder a few days ago, managed to capture some movies,
then tried to compare it with oryginal on TV.
Quality is ok, but while moving camcorder from one obiect to another
the movie seems to be very unclear. It looks very bad. As I only stop moving camcorder, picture becomes acceptable.
I've captured movie with sony software supplied together with my notebook and also with ScenAnalyzer. In both cases it looks the same.
My notebook pIII850 + firerewire built in. No problems with frames loosing. This bad effect doesn't look like some performance problems
because it happens always as I'm moving my camcorder and it always looks the same.
Can you notice the same on Your recorded movies.
Maybe I'm capturing badly, but both programs have not many options for capturing, so I don't know.
Greetings
Maciej

when you say "unclear" you mean you see artifact lines in the image? if so, this might be an interlacing problem, which get worse while you look at moving video rather than still images.
it might be helpful to know what you want to do with your captured movies (i.e. just backup or adding effects/titles then make dvd/svcd/vcd).
sorry for my bad english !
