Is there a work around? Yes there is, reading the manpages
the flag --allow-u will get what you need.

so,

will grab the, at best, 720p and mpa encrypted files
decrypting you'll need shaka-packager or mp4decrypt, merging will require ffmpeg or similar.

This will do it using N_m3u8DL-RE and correct headers and cookie. It says batch downloader but single programs work too.

Has nobody sussed out a download app like a ClipGrab that can bypass all this? There's absolutely no chance I'll have the time, concentration or patience to plough my way through the processes described in this thread. It annoys me that I've got ITVx Premium but can't download programmes to my PC.
