I just want to be educated in the various format that contain multichannel audio, since i got a Dolby Atmos Soundbar earlier this year and i want to know whats going on. Whats the format used for DD5.1/7.1/Atmos on Bluray discs and what on compressed files like mkv/mp4 and streaming services? So for example i think i keep seeing E-AC3 on mkv files for Atmos and Dolby Digital. Is this like a better version of the older compressed ac3 that was being used? I just want to make sure im enjoyinf the best audio product that is coming out from my JBL Atmos Soundbar. Thank You.
