Downloading from topic.com

Hi,

does anybody have experience downloading from topic.com? I tried with cococut but had no luck as it must be DRM-protected.

I'll start by saying that I don't have access to the site, but it looks like a site that I'm a subscriber to, and they look the same (Powered by Vimeo) [content "embed.vhx.tv / Vimeo OTT"].

Install Video DownloadHelper and go to the video you want to get.
Use the extension and choose the highest streaming resolution. Click on "Details" and a "Hit Details" tab will open.
Copy the "videoUrl" and change the ending (master.json/dash-video.mp4) to master.mpd.
Then use N_m3u8DL-RE to download.

The Video DownloadHelper extension doesn't even detect a video playing when I play the movie on Topic, so there are no details to show.

CocoCut shows multiple .m4s files while playing, each one just a few megabytes in size, and the longer the video plays, the more of these little pieces appear in the extension.

Yes but they offer a free trial account, and also you could try the same thing with the trailers on the site.

Thanks, I guess I need to do some reading now of how to actually download the MPEG DASH stream files.
