I have a pinnacle pro-one capture card that came bundled with adobe premiere and
Pinnacle Impression dvd pro. I can capture fine, however, I cannot export anything
into the pinnacle MP2. I obviously need to compress the files from avi format, but every
time I try I get an error message saying "Error writing file (disk full?)" I have an 80 gig
with nothing on it that I'm trying to write to, with a clip only 3 minutes long....
I have tried to adjust every setting, but to no avail. I'd really hate to think I spent $900.00
on a system that isn't going to work for me, can you give me any advice?
Thanks,

Remember when the only way to see a movie uncut was to go to the theatre?

The workaround is that you have to go into the settings button and load the correct MPEG-2 export mode. Every time. You cannot just use what you selected last time you exported. Even if the same mode is already selected, you have to reselect the same thing again. Hopefully Adobe or Pinnacle engineers will read this and fix the problem eventually.

If you haven't already done it, you might want to post at the forums at both sites (www.adobe.com and www.pinnaclesys.com). There is no telling if they actually visit this site.

You have the 4GB file size limit problem with FAT32. I don't know how you can overpass it with Premiere.
You have two options:
1. Format a partition to NTFS (win XP, 2000 etc.)
2. Use a software that can split the captured video to few files (i.e. Virtualdub). -
I am running Win2K, 40gig os & 80 gig capture, both ntfs.....
