1 youtube was made by a student, not a gifted student just an average regular student
2 that was a very long time ago
3 not a single dev or designer had basic design skills or talent to make a good vid player for desktop since then
4 that's sad
5 youtube was brought by google cos it was good

everyone already knows the basic history of youtube, cos ofc it's in the top 5 of the most widely used site on this entire web. ppl read ppl learn so ofc they know basic things like this

it doesnt take a billion or trillion to make good things, just a person who knows basic things

it's the same with twitch
twitch didnt become good cos it took billions and trillions
twitch was brought by amazon cos it was already good

it's pretty clear that km has copied / was built on top of garabage open source software that was made by ppl that had no design skills, and knew nothing about good ui/ux

i assume the good designers on the web / world are making web players / mobile players and that's why state of desktop vid player is complete trash and will stay that way probably forever
