  1. How do i get 5.1 sound on a svcd using tmpgenc when converting from a divx with ac3. can i do it in tmp alone or do i need another program. if someone can tell me how or point me to a guide that would be great

  2. You can't put DD5.1 on a SVCD or VCD. You can, with a few DVD players, put DD5.1 on a miniDVD.

    Some people have said that they can encode DD5.1
    to MPEG 5.1 and achieve surround sound.

  4. true kitty, but then your AVI file has to have allrdy DD5.1 included... CUZ VDub doesn't add the DD... You need a proggie for that...

    I got Soft Encode 5.1 to do that, and i must say, i'm very happy with it... You give it a WAV file, and it puts DD5.1 on for you

    You output an AC3 file, witch you can aftewards mux with your movie... And look! you've got an MPEG with DD5.1!!!!

  6. This is basically my question too. I like to take DVDs I borrow from friends and co-workers and convert to SVCD using DVD2SVCD. The picture quality turns out excellant but the audio (I think) is only 2-channel stereo. What would I use in conjunction with this to get DD5.1 audio on the SVCD?
