  2. I didn't care for what happened to Luke, as in, I just don't believe he would end up the "person" he was in this movie. Because of that, I have no further interest in what happens to anybody else in the "franchise." (Actually there's a lot of other stuff in TLJ I just don't care for or about, but what they "did" to Luke completely soured me on the deal). There were/are those who "like" what they did with Luke. To me, they can all go to hell. Now I certainly understand that people don't always "turn out" like we hope/expect them to ... but being that George Lucas and Mark Hamill are the only people who (I think) have any real say in where they think Luke Skywalker would "be" at this point in his life ... being they "created" the character ... then the current writers/directors who say "Well, we see Luke Skywalker in a new way," they can go to hell, too, because that's not who Luke Skywalker *is*. They may have paid $$$ for the licensing rights (bleah), but as for the rest -- they can keep it. I'm out.

    The flick was fine.

I never really cared for the original trilogy storyline either. There were issues. Note that I saw them either in theatres or on VHS, not the later messes. Attempts to "fix" have just made it worse with re-releases (theatres, DVD, BD, etc). The first movie was really good, but it went downhill from there.

The prequels were fine. Not what I'd have done, but fine. A lot of bad acting, namely in the main star of the story (both Anakins).

These new movies are the same. Fine. Not my choice of stories, lots of plot holes, errors, but a good popcorn muncher escape from reality.

If I want a really in-depth tale, that's what books are usually for. Or TV series. Rarely movies. Too quick. My main issue with Star Wars is that timing is too quick. What should be years instead takes weeks or months, and is just not realistic to life (thus we have hard time suspending disbelief).

You know what Star Wars I really like? Rebels. That's a pretty decent story.

Luke was a better trailer of himslef, since the way he went was rly strange. And I loved references, the "it's all true" by Han Solo and all
