Hi
I have a Hauppague WinTV PCI card (one of the older models)
which has performed without any problems for me under Win98se
on my 850Mhz Athlon using the supplied VFW drivers.
The question is this...would there be any advantage in installing the
Sourceforge WDM drivers with a VFW-WDM wrapper for use
with this card?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If your drivers work as expectd and have no shortcommings... don't screw with them you would only be asking for trouble.

Snowmoon: this i know
just wondered if there would be any advantages of the WDM drivers over the VFW drivers

Besides being able to swear at a whole new group of applications... no.

Well that settles it then...i'll stick with the VFW drivers as
i have no need to swear at any more applications.
Thanks for the feedback Snowmoon

The VFW windows perform well under all Windows 98 platforms (95, 98, ME.) In fact in my experience the VFW drivers actually outperform the WDM drivers in these environments.
However WDM drivers are a must if you upgrade to 2000 or XP.
