Template? Or composed?

Hi all!

I was looking for a forum wherein people talk about video editing and this was one of the first search results google gave me. I'm kind of new here and wanted to learn more about video editing. If I'm violating anything please tell me.

What I'm curious about is how can I identify whether are videos made of compositions or are made with templates. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUmHDP1XPHU

Nothing about that suggests that it was definitively made from a "template" , but certainly parts of it could have been. It could just have easily been made from scratch, because none of it is too difficult to do in after effects. But this type of motion graphics does scream: "made in after effects" , although it could have been made in almost any editor, it's just easier to do in AE. It's pretty easy to achieve this using a template like the ones found in the following link http://bit.ly/2vAuWi0 However, for the video in the link you posted, it could easily be a mixture of both template and actual recordings.
