Sound Effects Only Of A Movie

Does anyone know how to do this ? For video editing / action montages I would like help in getting a hold of as clear as possible the sound effects only channel of a few movies

There is no "sound effects only" channel.....not on stereo versions and not on 5.1 versions.

There are a few sites that have old out of copyright movies with basically only the M&E track. I have heard one at a Film Society meeting decades ago of D.O.A. the original black and white 1950's. No dialog.... Being a retired sound mixer I've done a few in my time way back before digital technology...

You will need to contact the copyright holder and ask for permission to use the effects-only track. This will likely cost thousands of dollars in license fees and studio expenses, if you can even get permission.

But it's not impossible (just tons of work) to reverse-engineer and create your own M or E track from scratch (using a combo of stock libraries and captured sound/foley). I've done it.
