    on filter resize window-
    new width=352

If you're using TMPGEnc, you can just feed it the 576x336 stream, define the source aspect ratio as 1:1 (leave the resulting MPEG ratio at 3:4!), keep aspect ratio and let TMPGEnc resize and add the borders.

how do i change it to svcd instead of regular vcd?
I think I'd prefer PAL format because of the 25fps.

    Hmm. Strange.

I'm not sure that the 352x205 ratio is right either - it indeed preserves the aspect ratio of the original, but doesn't take into account that 352x288 isn't using 1:1 pixel aspect ratio.

    In that case I'll do:
    • First, use the resize filter, without resizing and just expand the video frame to 576x432. This will give you a 4:3 frame (including black bars) using a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio, just as the original file
    • Then, add another resize filter, using precize bicubic, to make the overall frame fit a 480x576 frame
I might be wrong, corrections are more than welcome.
