  1. Hi Guys,

i've bought several months ago a Timeleak HD70a Capture Card, Video Recording is great, but i have no Audio!!

i already tried the best Programs out there....

    AmaRecTV - No Sound
Virtualdub 1.9 & 1.10.4 (my preferred Program) - Video Source, i can only Display "None", "Tuner", "Composite" & "S-Video" - on S-Video i have a Video Signal... and why isn't "HDMI" available for Video Source in Virtualdub Capturing?!...maybe that's why i don't have Audio?
OBS - Open Broadcaster Software - this is the only one capturing Video & Audio!! But i cannot choose UT Video Compression...so this Program is useless for me then...since i don't want a crappy x264 Encode..

Can you Guys help me please! i am searching for days & hours, but couldn't find another Video Capturing Device Software.

...i also found that the most (chinese) users use Potplayer + Timeleak for Captruing, but i could not find a useful Tutorial...this is the only one i found http://home.gamer.com.tw/creationDetail.php?sn=1245606 ... but only in chinese

i appreciate every input & help of you guys!

If you want standard definition (720 x 480/576) with a lossless-type codec, I'd give DScaler a try but I'm not sure how high it goes on the Windows ladder.

  3. hech54 - thanks for your fast Response!

Already tried DScaler, but when i choose timeleak hd capture device it crashes everytime (OS - Win. 8.1 x64)

i would love to use it with Virtualdub or even AmarecTV, but i don't have Audio?!...is it because "S-Video" Source?!
my timeleak is connected via HDMI on my Nvidia Graphics Card Port and my BENQ Monitor is connected via HDMI > HDMI/DVI-D Port
(i am using a DVI-D to HDMI Adapter...)

    Please Guys help me!

Maybe. The Timeleak HD70a is supposed to support 2-channel analog audio input. Can you use a 2-channel analog connection for audio instead of HDMI?

You haven't told us what source you're trying to record, what the resolution of the incoming signal is, what software you are using, etc.

The specs for the Timeleak HD70a say it captures "up to 720p or 1080i".

Your video sources may not use any of the resolutions and frame rates supported by the Timeleak HD70a.

The laptop uses 1366x768. 1366x768 is not the same as 720p. 720p is 1280x720.

Some Canon DSLR cameras capture 1080p video. 1080p is not supported.

[EDIT: Ninja'd! We basically said the same thing.]

The card doesn't support 1366x768 or other computer graphics resolutions as input, only standard video resolutions. From the Timeleak website: "480i/p,576i/p,720p,1080i (NTSC/PAL..)"

    "HD" can mean many things.

If the camera allows it, set the HDMI output resolution to 720p50 and the Timeleak card to the same to test. Then try 1080i for both.

    Hello Everybody,
have the HDMI output of the camera set to 720p 25fps.
In the software to the same values.
Unfortunately still no signal (black recording screen).
The signal is when you play a movie from the camera screen
pulled away, but not the point.

I don't believe any capture card supports 720p25 input. You need 720p50 or 1080i/25.

It might also be worth confirming whether you're able to get anything through the composite or S-Video inputs using a stable, not-copy-protected source like a DVD player menu screen.

Can you reword this? I can't figure out what you mean.

    I'll 1080i / 25 try.
It is possible, according to the camera manual.
    I formulate new:
    1) I start with the camera a movie. I see the film on the screen of the camera
    2) I connect the HDMI cable to the computer
    3) the camera screen is black.
The signal seems to go to the PC.

Is that normal behaviour for your camera? When you connect an HDMI cable to your TV, the camera's screen goes black?

1080i / 25 does not work either. Capture screen is black.
honestech software gives the info no signal.
Camera connected to TV. Camera screen is black.
    Film is visible on TV.
I think the problem is one level lower.
    perhaps driver or hardware.

I don't have the Timeleak HD70a or its included software, but capture software is rarely smart enough to detect active audio and video connections on its own. Are you sure that you have set up the capture software to use HDMI for video input rather than one of the analog connections?
