I have decent system in the living room that's used to put out audio and video to the TV, so I can watch YouTube videos, a few AVI's of my own etx. Just last night I was enjoying one of favorite shows, then today I got up and noticed that the audio was out of sync with the video. I hadn't done anything mechanically to the setup in a while and I don't think it's the TV, so I tried different media players, I tried different codek packages, I checked to see if the BIOS was ok, I swapped out a different video card. Nothing worked and I mow running scans for viruses. Could it be the power supply or the hard drive going bad? To be honest I have had my share of tiny little glitches with this board ever since I bought it, and if nothing else works I'll just swap it out with something else. Just wanted to check with you guys though first.

  2. I've had audio sync issues in the past that went away after a reboot. One computer in particular seemed to torture me. The audio was in sync.... I think.... or was it.... or was I going mad.....
I remember fixing the audio sync for quite a few files one day and returned the next to discovered I'd messed with the audio sync instead of fixing it.

I guess that doesn't answer your question but I can confirm that computers are vicious creatures and no doubt the work of satan.

Well I'm trying everything! That's one thing about me...I'm a good troubleshooter. I think my hunches about that tricky motherboard have been there for a long time too. Like yourself, it tortures me by running fine for awhile, then it does something like this. But I just keep on trying one thing after another, weeding out things that will work and things that won't. Thanks for the input though!
