Anyone know what "WinpCap" is?

Didn't seem to be available here at VideoHelp, and it seems it helps make aTube Catcher's streaming video capture feature work better.

I wanted to find out all I could before downloading. Figured if it was available here, it was safe, but can't find it here, so does anyone know anything about it?

Used in network traffic analysis and packet capture

Some programs using it relate to network monitoring (wireshark)

Others capture specific data (tubemaster++ for video/audio)

Usually packaged with applications requiring it

Safe, no updates since early 2013 but you shouldn't run into any major problems
