Odd electronical crackle from multiple microphones

This random crackle has been plaguing me for some time now, and I'm wondering what could possibly be causing it.

I've gone through two different microphones, several XLR cables, and even installed a Power Condition Strip for my whole computer.

It occurs at random, sometimes it is fine for days, heck even weeks. But then it just does this out of the blue and can last for quite a while.

My setup is:

SE Electronics sE2200a II Mic
Pyle XLR Cable
and a Line 6 POD Studio X2

Do you think it might be a power issue - or maybe the UX2 is going? I've used it since March of last year so I thought I still had a decent amount of time left with it - but then again I don't know the average lifespan of these things.
