Why can a DVD that has a super detailed picture play so easly on a dvd player but an SVCD that I am sure has much less information on it just locks up on my dvd player.
New Panasonic.

SVCD compatibility is sporatic for panisonic models. Most require that the SVCD be multiplexed and burnt to appear to be a VCD and then it will play ( same video and audio streams, you figure that out ).
