Hello everyone.
First, sorry for my bad English. I'm officially Dutch.
I've seen a video on YouTube from Proximity. They show the beats in the video. (example: http://youtu.be/nD-p8-k2PMM?t=4m28s)
Can anybody explain me how I can do this? I use Final Cut Pro on Mac.
Kind regards.
Dylan

They use 3rd party plig-ins such as these:

This is a native after effects plugin , audio spectrum (it comes with AE, not 3rd party) . You can use a spline or mask path the "wrap" the effect - they just used a circle in that example
Not sure if these types of plugins are available for FCP (it's more of a NLE than effects type oriented) but search terms you can look for are "audio reactive" or "beat reactive" plugins -
HitFilm for Mac has that.
What that is is a "Pixel Array" that has deform tools tied to different frequencies of the music. In that example, the larger "Pixel Array" is hidden by the circle, except for the edges that bump and groove to the beat or melody. Actually, the whole thing (blob) behind the circle is dancing.
This same tool is in BorisCC, but don't know if that's on Mac.Last edited by budwzr; 7th Apr 2014 at 20:00.
