I´ve just got my new GF4 TI4200 tv-out to work.
I have a Philips 7104 tv-chip, and use nView since TV-Tool wont work with this tv-chip.
I´ve set the tv as "primary display" in nView, and its running in the only available frequency, that is 60Hz.
But when watching movies I noticed that when the camera in the movie pans (excuse my english if somethings not really right here and there...) its a little jerky/stuttering. Its not moving smooth as on the monitor when running 1024 85Hz without the tv.
Also tried a game, GTA 3, and when I´m looking around me its not smooth on the tv, but on my monitor its all smooth and nice.
Is this the price we have to pay to get tv-out, or are there any setting or something?

I had the same problem with a cheapish (£60) scan converter I bought for my system last year. I had a Geforce2 (non TV out) going through the scan converter to a Sony PAL Widescreen TV.
I used PowerStrip to force my display to 800x600 @ 50Hz and the jerking was gone. I still get a horizontal line scroll down the screen every 5 mins or so though. -

And is there anyway I could damage my tv by forcing it to 50Hz?
Dont think my monitor likes 50Hz, but I guess I can just turn it off...then no refreshrate in the world could harm it I suppose? -
Yes, that is exactly the problem I had.
I don't know how a TV Out board works or if you can actually force the output to 50Hz. 50Hz should also be just about in the lower range of your monitors thresholds (picture will be very flickery though).
Maybe someone with more knowledge ogf the GF4 board can tell you if you can output custom refresh rates. Either way I suggest you look at TVTool (www.tvtool.info) as I think it may do what you need. -

But I can watch my movies although they are a bit jerky at some places, its not that bad...its ok if I know that its a Hz problem and not a "bad-quality tv-out" problem, and that it will definitely go away the day I buy a 100Hz tv.
