  1. I shot a video of a PowePoint presentation on my computer using the Linux program RecordMyDesktop, which also recorded audio of me speaking. I produced two video files to be combined to form the complete presentation/final video. I used VideoPad for this. I also added a few seconds of music to the beginning and end.

I am unable to export/save the final video without either the aspect ratio being incorrect, the resolution/image quality being poor, stripy colours added over some of the pictures (PowerPoint slides)/distortion, or the final video being such that the edit/timing/sync is out of whack after upload to YouTube. Most of my attempts also do not play properly in VLC Player.

The aspect ratio should be 4:3, and it was a screen capture video from a 1600:1200 monitor. Please help me! All of my previous attempts over the years to produce video have always ended this way, but I'm not going to accept defeat this time. If anyone could please tell me which settings and format(s) to use when exporting/saving the video using VideoPad, please do as I would be very grateful.

    Thanks.

We don't use videopad here...so tell us what export settings you can choose from?

  3. There are a lot of settings in VideoPad, and I've probably gone through most of them, although there are many combinations of course. I can narrow the problem down: I was able to save the video in good quality as an FLV, but upon uploading to YouTube the timing of the frames - not the audio - is out. I.E. the first image after the title screen should appear at around 17-seconds after the intro music, but does so at around 9-seconds while the music is still playing. No idea why as the video plays fine in VLC.

What I'm doing now is converting the FLV into a MOV using AVS 6.3. I'm doing this in the hope that any issue with the FLV video will be resolved during this process. If you are able to shed any light on why a video would be out of sequence after uploading to YT, please let me know. Thanks.
