I recently purchased a concert DVD from New Zealand, but when viewing it I noticed it was not the same quality as the music video clips I saw on Youtube. When I contacted the sealer and told him about my disappointment, he sent me to this site and said that the videos on Youtube were probably cleaned up. The DVD in question is a bootleg concert DVD and has too much Strobe lights compared to the video on Youtube. Is there anyway I can clean this up? I have no clue and really would like to see my DVD cleaned up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Post a sample. And rename your thread to something having to do with the subject of the thread.

Just download the good one from Youtube.

Just to let you all know, I ordered the live concert DVD, because I looked high and low and cannot find the WHOLE CONCERT on Youtube or any other place without purchasing it. I didn't want video clips here and there from Youtube, I wanted the whole concert. This concert is the only live DVD of this artist which was bootlegged in Sao Paulo. It retails for close to $100 on Amazon, but I found a seller in New Zealand who sells the same item for $25. When I mentioned the quality of the video is not the same as the videos I have seen on Youtube, I was told that the videos must have been cleaned up. The seller even wanted to present me with another Free DVD because of my disappointment, and had directed me to this site.
How do I post a sample of the DVD ? I think I can save the DVD on my computer, but how do you take a sample from it? You guys are very knowledgeable, where I only have so much computer knowledge. I understand about renaming my thread to the subject. Did I tell you I was a Newbie? LOL
If cleaning this DVD is am impossible task, just let me know and I will try to find another way. I am just asking because I was directed your way.
Anyway thanks -
Here's sanlyn's detailed post about how to cut and save and then upload a sample (the video M2V) from a VOB from a DVD:

Is this that ridiculous Michael Jackson crap we are talking about again?

Wow thanks Manono I will look into this within the next day or so. My daughter is a Graphic designer with much more computer knowledge than me, so I will do it with her. It will be good to learn something new.
What does me asking for help have to do with Michael Jackson? LOL
Actually check out Richie Kotzen live in Sao Paulo on Youtube and you will see who and what concert I am talking about. But those video clips have been cleaned up compared to the strobe show I have.
Anyway it is late and I want to say thanks again for the help. I will repost when I have a sample portion/clip of my DVD, -

If its the same source, then there should be a wealth of previous ideas available to help repair it. The subject matter would be of interest to a huge audience, of course, but what gets me is how so many phonies profit from poor work and manage to stay in business for so long.
