  1. After burning SVCD's, they are sometimes "choppy", pausing for a moment, then continuing. I have tried slowing down the burn to 1x with both Nero 5.9 and VCD Easy. Nothing seems to work. Does NE1 have any suggestions, please??

  2. If the choppiness and pauses seem to come at random times and not regularly my guess would be that when you encoded your SVCD you've set the maximum bitrate too high and your DVD player can't keep up when it reaches an area where the bitrate exceeds it's ability to read the data off the CD so you get the choppiness and pauses. Most DVD players can only read CDs at 2x speed which translates into a bitrate of around 2700 kps. So if your SVCD has areas that exceed that rate it may be what's causing it.

  3. Thanks for the reply, LeeBear. The chopiness is random. I decode using TMPGenc set at CPR-2250 (which is well below 2700). Would you suggest I use a different Rate Control Mode (VPR) or reducing the CBR further. If I do reduce the CPR, won't action scenes appear choppy?

  4. Open TMPGEnc and do a Simple De-Multiplex, then Simple Multiplex. Make sure you set it to the correct header.
