  1. Hi everyone, I hope you guys can find a solution to my problem!

First, I rip my DVDs with MakeMKV then I import them to the program Freemake Video Converter. I choose to convert the video to mp4.

Now my problem is after they are converted, a majority of the files have a clicking noise just before the episode starts playing which is really annoying to me. I'm quite sensitive to that sort of thing!

The audio settings I'm using are:

    Audio Codec: AAC
    Channels: Original
    Sample Rate: Original
    Bitrate: Auto

I've also tried settings in the Channels and Sample Rate Same as source but it still has that clicking noise.

I've tried the other Audio Codec AC3 but when I import the file into iTunes the file doesn't play. And I do not want to use MP3 as I think that is regarded as a really low quality codec.

I also would like to still use the Freemake Video Converter and not any other program because it converts fast and it gives a nicer quality then the others I find.

Any help would be appreciated! Please? Thanks!

  2. Hmmm... after further inspection the video has the clicking noise when I import it into freemaker video converter BEFORE I turn into a MP4 and after ripping it with MakeMKV? When I play the MKV file in VLC Player it doesn't seem to have the noise. Any suggestions here?

EDIT: Ok, it seems like the clicking sound at the start happens when I import directly from DVD to Freemak too. So it's something to do with Freemake.
