Video appears to be okay, but I'm experiencing a static noise mostly when people are talking. Is this related to the age of the videos, or is it something technical?
If it is related to the video's age, is there a fix?
All input is appreciated.

Capturing Video8 with Sony Evo-250, StarTech USB capture cable.

Unlikely to be age-related. Could be over modulation. Can you post a short sample?

Thanks very much for the reply. It's really odd, just as I attempted to make a clip for you, the static is non-existent. It appears to happen only while reviewing vids before actually recording them with my capturing software. Also connected headphones to my Sony deck, and there was no static. Go figure??
