  1. ok i'm using the galaxy triple pack to encode my dvd's to mpeg format and using nero to burn them to disc. TMPGenc settings are ntsc mpeg-1 352*240 29.97fps cbr 1150 i am using the videocd (ntsc).mcf from tmpgenc as my template. In nero i have make standard compliant cd checked and ntsc resolution encoding checked. it burns fine and palys fine on my apex dvd player which will play anything, but won't play on other players. i am using memorex cd-r. but looking at the compatibility list it seems a lot of players will only read rewriteable discs, is this true?
anyone who helps me will be given access to my ftp to download the movies i convert. thanks in advance

This is true. I have a sony and it will only play VCDs that are written to CDRWs. However from what i hear apex players don't usually have this problem. You can check what others have found out about your particular model by going to the DVD Players link on the left hand side of the page. Hope this helps.
